Kicking Omaha’s level of soccer play up a notch!
[06.02.2009] After months of hard work and significant contributions by Arsenal and Gladiator coaches, parents and others, Omaha Football Club has created a program that gives children of all ages and abilities the opportunity to train and play at their maximum potential while truly enjoying the game of soccer.
In a city like Omaha, home to Olympic swim trials, the College World Series and Creighton University's Morrison Stadium, people understand and appreciate athletic excellence. This does not mean “excellence” measured in the number of wins or losses, but demonstrated by a genuine and concerted effort to develop every player to his or her maximum potential.
Omaha FC will provide a quality environment for player and staff development by combining the coaching, administrative, and financial resources of Omaha’s premier soccer clubs. We recognize that the heart and soul of every successful youth club are its youth and recreational divisions. Our combined numbers will support multiple recreational teams and unique programs for the U5-U8 and U9/10 divisions, each headed by a program director and a dedicated staff.
At the core of the Omaha FC program is a coaching model that will allow each player to excel to his or her potential, no matter the level of skill. Every age group will be trained and coached by a team of highly-skilled and experienced individuals.
Although unique to the Omaha soccer community, this widely-accepted and successful approach to coaching will enable Omaha FC to reach its goal of becoming a major force in local, regional, and national competition while focusing on the individual development of each and every player.
