Gibbie Duval has been a strength and conditioning coach with the Xplosive Edge since the fall of 2004. Under his brother Zach, Gibbie has been a part of the “Husker Power” program for 6 years and was directly involved with the “Performance 101” program dating back to 1999. He is certified through Boyd Epley’s Epic Athletic Performance and holds a test license as the official Combine Director for the state of Nebraska. Gibbie has also completed Myokinematic Restoration and Postural Respiration courses through Ron Hruska’s Postural Restoration Institute.

 

Gibbie is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and participates in several strength and fitness symposiums, and is also the strength and conditioning coach for the Bellevue Bruins Soccer and Volleyball programs as well as the College of St. Mary’s. Gibbie is certified under the American Red Cross in CPR, first AID and AED. Gibbie also has assisted in training several Omaha-area clubs (soccer, football, baseball, volleyball) as well as several professional and collegiate athletes.


Gibbie is a native of Lincoln, Neb., where he was a two-sport all-state athlete at Lincoln East High School. Gibbie went on to play junior college baseball at Johnson County and then to Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, IA. Gibbie then attended the University of Nebraska Omaha where he studied Exercise Science. While in Kansas City, Gibbie was fortunate enough to be able to study under the legendary Romanian Olympic coach Istvan Javorek. Istvan was the original creator of the “dumbbell complex.” Gibbie resides in Gretna, Nebraska with his wife Jennifer and their new little girl Gabriella.
